Costco’s cinnamon rolls have been a topic of convo for years now. There was a massive pull-apart version, minis, and plenty of backlash over the recipe and pricing. Now, the retailer has an all-new iteration to get tongues wagging—only they don't contain any cinnamon at all.

One sharp Costco shopper found a savory alternative: garlic parmesan butter rolls. "My kitchen smells amazing," @costcohotfinds wrote on Instagram after buying and baking them. Naturally, fans were quick to flood the comment section with their excitement for the launch.

"O M G I need this," one user wrote. "I went to costco for these today because of this video 😭," another added. "I will eat it all in one sitting don’t play with me," a third person said. Someone else simply wrote: "On my way!"

Given the timing of the original post (April 1), Costco members were immediately concerned that this was just an elaborate prank. They wrote, "This better not be an April fools joke" and "PLEASE DONT BE A PRANK I BEG." However, we literally see the Costco employee hand off the tray (and then the Instagrammer baked the rolls), so this isn't just a ruse—and thank God for that.

Fans and Costco employees alike confirmed that they not only exist but are just as tasty as they look, too. After one customer wrote, "Whose going to confirm that they are good 👀🤔," countless people chimed in with their approval. "I’m a baker for Costco. Confirmed they r amazing! 👍🏻🤤," one wrote. "I bought them today and we ate them with dinner. They are amazing!!" another said. Guess that settles the debate.

According to Tasting Table, each pack comes with 12 large rolls smothered in a garlic, parmesan, and butter spread. They're sprinkled with fresh herbs, too, for added flavor depth. The entire container is just $7.99, which for 12 massive rolls is a steal—and likely won't last for long in the bakery section.
