This week, Eva Longoria joined us on In Studio with “9 to 5ish” for a special screening of our pod. Check it out for a behind-the-scenes look at the recording process, exclusive content and questions, and an almost-IRL experience. Let’s get into it…

As a kid, Eva Longoria dreamed of being a professional volunteer one day. Her mother’s response? That’s not a job, sweetie. Instead, she was a Texas pageant queen, became a headhunter, and moved to LA. And despite knowing no one in Hollywood when she first arrived, Eva became a household name for her role in “Desperate Housewives.” Now, Eva’s defied expectations again and expanded her resume to include: humanitarian. And parent.

On "Having it All"

Eva: I do think you can have it all, but not at the same time. And that's the thing it's like, there's a moment for you to focus on your career. There's a moment for you to focus on children. And sometimes you don't get the choice. You get pregnant and you have your job and you do it. Women do it every day.

On How Service and Volunteerism Shaped her Life

Eva: My earliest memories as a child are at the Special Olympics. I remember sleeping on my mom's lap because she was always there with my sister. I remember being a hugger at the end of races, that was my job. Just so many vivid memories of those things. And so I don't know a life without service and my family really instilled that into me, that idea of volunteerism. And it's your responsibility on this earth to give back. You don't just live in your house and your state. You live in a global community where if we all don't work together, we're not going to succeed.
