WR Michael Thomas agrees to record-setting $100 million deal with Saints

Michael Thomas' holdout is over, and he's seeing the dollar signs as a result.

The New Orleans Saints wide receiver agreed to a five-year extension that will make him the league's highest-paid wideout. The deal, confirmed by Andrew Kessler, one of his agents, is worth $100 million and includes $61 million in new guaranteed money -- the most in NFL history for any player who's not a quarterback.

The deal will keep him in the Big Easy for the next six years — through the 2024 season.

Thomas did not report to training camp last week in hopes of reaching a new deal. The 26-year-old is set to make $1.15 million in 2019 for the final year of his rookie contract.

Last season, Thomas caught a career-high 125 passes for 1,405 yards with nine touchdowns. He's recorded 321 catches for 3,787 yards and 23 touchdowns in his first three years in the league, establishing himself as one of the top young stars.
