Golden Globes 2019: Green Book Wins Best Film, Musical or Comedy

Tonight at the 2019 Golden Globes, Green Book won the award for Best Motion Picture, Musical or Comedy. The film picked up the win over fellow nominees Vice, The Favourite, Crazy Rich Asians, and Mary Poppins Returns. Green Book tells the story of Don Shirley (played by Mahershala Ali), a pianist who recruits Tony Lip (played by Viggo Mortenson) as his driver and protection during a 1962 tour in the American South. Ali won Best Supporting Actor for his performance in the film. Watch Green Book director Peter Farrelly’s acceptance speech below.
