Sign up: Immigrants of the DMV
Immigrants of the DMV was launched to share experiences and stories of those who have immigrated and build community across the DMV. This project ultimately aims to contribute to a more nuanced and less stereotyped narrative on immigration by focusing on personal, everyday stories. One day each week, a different person will ‘takeover’ the @immigrantsofthedmv Instagram account, using photos and videos to share their story and day.

We’re looking for people living in DC, Maryland, or Virginia who have immigrated to the United States and are both interested in and comfortable with sharing their story on an internet platform to participate. You can share whatever is comfortable or easy about your day, profession, what inspires you or makes you smile.
