Boxing Day 2004 tsunami: Banda Aceh - then and now

A decade after 2004’s Boxing Day tsunami, Getty Images sent their photographers back to Banda Aceh on Indonesia’s Sumatra island. The area was devastated in the earthquake and tsunami, which killed more than 170,000 people in Aceh. Click on each image to compare the images from 2004 and 2014
