Who's coming back?!

We've (almost) gotten over our excitement about Netflix's upcoming Gilmore Girls revival enough to start asking the important questions. (Like, will Melissa McCarthy return for it?)

Here's what we know so far:

How many episodes will there be? Netflix is eyeing four 90-minute episodes, described as "mini-movies," for the limited run. The installments will be written by creator Amy Sherman-Palladino and executive producer Dan Palladino.

When will the reboot pick up? According to TVLine, which originally reported news of the reboot, the continuation will pick up in real time, so there will likely be an eight- or nine-year time jump, since the series went off the air in 2007.

Who's on board? Contracts are still being negotiated with the show's major players, but consider it a given that stars Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Kelly Bishop and Scott Patterson will be on board. (Edward Herrmann, sadly, died on New Year's Eve.) And,TVLine reports, all of Rory's main beaus - Logan (Matt Czuchry), Jess (Milo Ventimiglia) and Dean (Jared Padalecki) - will be returning in some capacity. It remains to be seen whether Melissa McCarthy - whose fame has reached new heights, to say the least, since the show went off the air - will reprise her role as Sookie St. James.

When will it premiere? Nothing's been officially set, but our guess is that we'll be seeing new Gilmore Girls footage on Netflix sometime next year.

Will we hear those final four words? Since Sherman-Palladino's involved, we're going with yes. After a contract dispute saw her and and her husband leave before the seventh and final season, ASP can now finally end the show the way she has always envisioned.
